What does EDMTECH do?

EDMTECH develops and manufactures battery systems for demanding industrial and mobility applications. We don't treat a battery as a catalogue item: we treat every energy system as an engineering problem. We master cell selection, BMS, IoT and supporting electronics, and integrate it all — mechanics, electrical and software — into each client's project.

Is EDMTECH just a battery manufacturer?

We are more than that: we are an engineering house with in-house production. We don't develop and then manufacture elsewhere — we design, prototype and produce on our own lines, which adapt to each client's challenge. The battery is one component; the complete system is what we deliver.

Do you build custom solutions or sell standard products?

Both — and the line between them is less rigid than it seems. Our catalogue isn't static: each product line adapts to the client in capacity, form factor, communication and integration. When the project demands more, we develop from scratch, starting from the requirements and always with production in mind.

Do you work as an OEM and with small production runs?

Yes. We often develop and produce integrated technology behind other companies' brands and products. We offer production flexibility for small and medium series, when technically viable, without imposing minimum order quantities that don't fit the project's stage.

What energy storage systems (BESS) do you offer?

We have two industrial lines. The SOLID line ranges from rack solutions (SOLID.R, starting at 48 kWh) to containerised systems (SOLID.C, 5 MWh) for large-scale installations. The LOGIC line is a compact all-in-one system that integrates battery, inverter and liquid cooling in a single cabinet, for medium-scale installations.

Why does being European and close matter?

Being European is an engineering specification: technical and regulatory rigour, proximity to the client and fast response in the field. Distance carries high costs — logistics, downtime and slow support turn a technical problem into an operational one. That's why we develop, test and support without an ocean between the problem and the solution.

Are EDMTECH systems certified and safe?

Yes. Our storage lines comply with international safety and transport standards such as IEC 62619 and UN38.3, among others depending on the application. We combine LFP chemistry, a dedicated BMS with redundant protections and, in larger systems, liquid cooling and integrated fire suppression.

In 2026, EDMTECH celebrates 15 years. Starting out as a technological development company called Engenho-de-Mestre with a small lab focused on electronics, design and mechanical engineering, it later took the initials of those areas of expertise and changed its name to edmtech, a company that can now both develop and produce turn key solutions all the way from proof of concept to production.
